Rocky Mountain Investment Challenge
About Us
The RMIC is a competition that was started in 2016 at Colorado State University by Drs. Hilla Skiba and Frank Smith II. The Challenge has grown over the years from a Colorado regional competition to a 5-state area. Hosting has been shared between other schools including University of Wyoming, and Western Colorado University, with University of Colorado - Boulder hosting this year. Students participating in the challenge will apply their classroom learning in the investment area to real world firms. They will conduct a thorough analysis of a company and make an investment recommendation to a panel of industry experts. The challenge helps students gain valuable experience, build their resumes, and provide networking opportunities. It has offered one of the richest prize money competitions in the U.S. and goes directly to student competitors.

The RMIC is hosted by Universities in the Rocky Mountain Region. This year hosted by University of Colorado Boulder.
